Addressing Mixed Cultures in Couples and Families

This 1.5 hour workshop will provide education in the application of a multicultural orientation when working with multi-culture couples and families. Attendees will gain exposure to the practice of cultural humility, cultural safety, and cultural broaching to identify and address treatment-related issues in multi-culture couples and families. 

Learning Objectives: 

1. Attendees will gain awareness of cultural ethics in couples and family counseling and the implications of working with multi-culture couples and families. 

2. Attendees will gain awareness of strategies and tools to assess the impact of cultural differences within families and couples. 

3. Attendees will gain awareness and practice skills to address multi-culture families & couples using cultural safety, cultural broaching, and cultural humility
